Julia Spínola

Work: Graduated in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid, she has also studied at the Faculdade de Belas Artes in Lisbon and completed a residency in Berlin with the DAAD scholarship program. In 2012, she received the Generaciones 2013 Award from Obra Social Caja Madrid and in 2013 the Marcelo Botín Visual Arts Grant. She has participated in individual and collective exhibitions internationally in cities such as Madrid (La Casa Encendida, CA2M, Sala de Arte Joven, Galería Heinrich Ehrhardt), Barcelona (Espai Cultural, Can Felipa, CaixaForum, Halfhouse), Ghent (Tatjana Pieters Galerie), Murcia (Centro Párraga), Buenos Aires (Universidad Torcuato di Tella), New York (EFA Project Space), London (The Mews), and Brussels (Komplot).

Her work is in the collection of the National Museum Reina Sofía Art Center, Marcelino Botín Foundation, Madrid Community Art Collection/CA2M, La Panera Museum, Montemadrid Foundation/La Casa Encendida.

Her artworks are in the collection of Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Fundación Marcelino Botín, Colección de Arte Comunidad de Madrid/CA2M, Museo La Panera, Fundación Montemadrid/La Casa Encendida.
