Winner of the residency and acquisition award from Piramidón at the latest edition of UVNT'24, their artistic practice revolves around the intersections and divergences that emerge when comparing painted and digital images. Their work addresses questions of materiality and the influence of the medium on how we perceive and interact with different types of images.
In some of their recent proposals, the emphasis on formal aspects and experimentation with matter leads to the absence of represented imagery. However, these techniques are often combined with fragments of more or less recognizable images, maintaining a balance between presence and representation. As a result, their painting can simultaneously be understood as an object, process, trace, image, and subject.
