With the landscape as his almost exclusive genre, Pere de Ribot captures on canvas places and spaces he imagines. These are horizons that expand, occupying the entire canvas, seeking geometry combined with the fantastic and the mystical. The artist works through the layering of layers.
The first, a nearly imperceptible monochrome relief, serves as a transparent base for the various overlays that spread across the canvas, combining harmoniously. The confident brushstrokes blend with the drips, which help establish this contemplative atmosphere that seems to bring together, for a brief moment, the sky and the earth.
